Description:

Molecular sieves are highly porous crystalline metal-alumino silicates. It has a uniform pore diameter and high specific surface area and other excellent features. It only adsorb those molecules smaller than the molecular sieve aperture, and has a rather strong water absorption capacity, even at a higher temperature, larger space velocity or large water content condition. It is widely used in chemical, petrochemical, natural gas and other industries.

3A Molecular Sieve

Molecular sieves 3A is an alkali metal aluminosilicate. It is potassium form of the type A crystal structure.
Molecular sieves 3A has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms(0.3nm). It absorbs molecular with effective diameters smaller than approximately 3 angstroms, but excludes molecular such as unsaturated hydrocarbons.

Recommended Application
1. Cracked gas drying
2. Dehydration of refrigerant
3. Drying of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and ethanol.
4. Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons(e.g. ethylene, propylene, butadiene)
5. Static, (non-regenerative) dehyudration of insulating glass units, whether air filled or gas-filled.
6. Drying of natural gas, if COS minimization in essential or a minimum co-adsorption of hydrocarbons is required.

4A Molecular Sieve

Molecular sieves 4A is an alkali metal aluminosilicate with sodium form of type A crystal structure. Molecular sieves 4A has an effective pore opening of about 4 angstroms(0.4). It will adsorb most molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 4 angstroms and exclude those larger. Such adsorbable molecules include simple gas molecules such as oxygen, nitrogen, carton dioxide and straight chain hydrocarbons. Branched chain hydrocarbons and aromatics are excluded.

5A Molecular Sieve

Molecular sieves 5A is an alkali metal aluminosilicate, it is the calcium form of the type A crystal structure. Molecular sieves 5A has an effective pore opening of about 5 angstroms(0.5nm). It will absorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 5 angstroms and exclude molecules larger than 0.5nm. It is especially suitable for PSA adsorber application s where it may be used for the separation of normal- and iso-paraffins(C4 to C6 species), in PSA hydrogen purification and in oxygen concentrators.

13A Molecular Sieve

Molecular Sieve 13X is the sodium form of the Type X crystal and a much larger pore opening than the type A crystals. It will absorb molecules with a kinetic of less than 10 angstroms and exclude molecules of larger than 10 angstroms.

It can remove impurities too large to fit into a type A crystal and is commonly used to separate nitrogen from oxygen. Since it also has the highest theoretical capacity of the common adsorbents and very good mass transfer rates, it usually used as carrier for catalysts.

Recommended Application
1.Separation of enriched oxygen from air.
2.Production of medical or bulk oxygen in PSA units.
